About Lisa
I'm Lisa Perline, founder of Let's Play, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping children navigate their emotions and develop the skills they need to thrive.
My journey into play therapy began with a simple observation: children communicate differently than adults. While adults process the world through conversation, children process it through play. This insight transformed how I approach therapy and has allowed me to connect with children in meaningful, lasting ways.
Every child who walks into my playroom is met with warmth, acceptance, and genuine curiosity about their unique world. I believe that within every child lies the capacity for healing and growth when given the right environment and support.
“Lisa has been the trusted provider for my son who has been under her care for 2 years. She has built his self-esteem and coping skills to an unbelievable level, like no one ever has in many years of different therapies. She is always able to pivot and focus on how to use learned skills and adjust to other situations in his life.”
“We have worked with Lisa for a while now, and our son continues to look forward to his appointments. She really gets him, and us! She is never judgmental and always understanding. We thoroughly enjoy working with her and appreciate everything she has done for our kiddo!”
“Lisa has been amazing with my son. She has connected with him and is able to understand his needs and concerns. She makes going to see her fun and he always wants to go.”
My Approach to Therapy
I practice Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), a research-based approach that uses play as a child's natural language. Sessions take place in a safe, supportive, and attuned environment designed for self-expression.
I follow your child's lead, offering skilled therapeutic responses that build trust and support emotional exploration and processing at their own pace.
Through this process, children develop confidence, emotional regulation, and healthier ways to express themselves—skills that carry into everyday life.
